We started in the field — not a boardroom.
EmpowerBlu grew out of late-night conversations with people we actually know — friends and family in the trades — who were tired of stitching together spreadsheets, five different apps, and tools that just didn't get how a real crew works.
The spark was simple: they wanted something they could actually use for their own shops and small businesses — not software that didn't quite match how they work or added unnecessary complexity. They wanted the same for the contractors and technicians they trusted, too.
So we set out to build it with them in mind: scheduling, money, customers, and the messy day-to-day of field work, all in one place. We've kept it straightforward and direct, because a cluttered screen doesn't help anyone when they're on a job. We just let the AI handle the repetitive stuff that usually eats up your evening.
We also work hard to keep our own costs lean so we can pass that on to the people actually using the software. The goal is for the price to be an afterthought. The real question is: does this make your day on the job easier?
We're still building alongside that same crowd. If you've ever thought “there has to be a better way,” you're the reason we're doing this.
